Updated: Jul 3, 2020

Creator, Writer & Director, Patrik-Ian Polk (back center) with the cast of "Noah's Arc."

It's been 15 years since the groundbreaking Black gay television series "Noah's Arc" drifted into the sunset only to be seen on YouTube or on home DVD's purchased shortly after the show was abruptly cancelled following its second season on LOGO. In the years following the end of the series and the release of the 2008 feature film "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom," the demand for new episodes of the beloved series has only intensified. Well the wait is now over. “Noah’s Arc: The ‘Rona

Chronicles” will air live on several streaming platforms on Sunday, July 5.

Under the direction of creator and director, Patrik-Ian Polk (Punks, Blackbird, The Skinny), the original cast along with virtual appearances by celebrity newcomers to the show—Wanda Sykes, Tituss Burgess, Wilson Cruz, and Richard Brooks will all deliver performances in "Noah's Arc: The 'Rona Chronicles," a special 15 year anniversary reunion show set to stream on multiple online platforms.

"Not a day goes by that I don’t get messages, tweets, DM’s and emails from the huge NOAH’S ARC fanbase saying how much they love & miss the show and begging for a reboot," says Polk. "While we’ve all struggled to stay sane during these stressful and trying times, the cast and I wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for all the love we continue to receive from the fans."

Living Out Loud 2.0 has a long history of covering Noah's Arc and Polk dating back to 2006 on our first site, Living Out Loud with Darian. We sat down with Polk on Thursday via Zoom in between his busy shooting schedule. He dishes on the show's humble beginnings, the love shown by fans for nearly two decades, filming in the age of social distancing, a potential third season, a new soundtrack, and even spills the tea on a legendary diva who messaged him to give her blessing on the reunion.

Get into our exclusive interview with Polk in the clip below.

The Virtual Reunion Experience will kick off with a pre-show tailgate party featuring clips from the series and testimonial videos from fans presented & hosted by MOBI (Mobilizing Our Brothers Initiative), followed by the reunion episode written and directed by the show’s creator Patrik-Ian Polk. A post-show LIVE Q&A with original cast Darryl Stephens, Jensen Atwood, Rodney Chester, Doug Spearman & Christian Vincent will be moderated by Karamo Brown (Netflix’s Queer Eye).

Polk is proud to announce that this event will also raise money for a host of Black LGBTQ non-profit organizations providing vital services to their communities. The fundraising goal is $100,000, which will be split among 7 non-profits.

You can register for the reunion event here.
